The new massage chair line by Panasonic is called the Real Pro Ultra. The Real Pro Ultra is a technology platform developed by Panasonic which is used is the recliners that constitute this series. This is the latest generation of Panasonic massage chairs. Panasonic has been making massage loungers for the last 30 years.

Some of the advanced features included in the Real Pro Ultra massage chair line are very innovative. They have a new advanced three-dimensional body scan. This is able to create a virtual map of your back while also locating acupressure points. You also find the new Junetsu massage technique.

One of the interesting advancing technologies from Panasonic is there quad style rollers. These rollers are actually able to move in three dimensions. Most roller systems only move and to dimensions or in the X and Y coordinates. The quad style rollers are able to move in a third.

One of the advances that Panasonic is bringing to the table is the three-dimensional body scan. This body scan is more sophisticated in that it can create a virtual map of your back in three-dimensional space. These coordinates are then fed into the chairs computer which moves the quad style rollers.

As technology advances so do the massage techniques available. Panasonic is introducing its new Junetsu massage. Junetsu massage is a Japanese word for ultra fine kneading. The Junetsu technique uses a circular pattern and applies more pressure as it penetrates through the muscle tissue.

Most of the massage techniques which were part of the Real Pro Elite series of massage chairs are also incorporated into the new series. You can expect to find massage programs including shiatsu, Hawaiian, Swedish and also many others. This gives you a variety of different techniques to choose from.

Now, for the confusing part of the model numbers: There are a number of different models which fall under the Real Pro Ultra line. These are model numbers EP 30003 up to EP 30007. The entry level massage chair for this series is the EP 30003 and the top-of-the-line is the EP 30007.

For instance, the EP 30005 and EP 30007 are both made in Japan. The EP 30003, EP 30004 and the EP 30006 are made in China. Supposedly the models made in Japan are of higher quality. However, the warranty coverage is substantially less than those which are made in China.

You will find a lower body stretching system as part of the technology platform and the Real Pro Ultra line. The lower body stretching is it used to stretch the body from the hips to the ankles. The recliner uses the leg rest to the fact the stretching of the lower half of the body.

Some of the Real Pro Ultra massage chairs are equipped with and upper body stretching system. The upper body stretching system is good for elongating the arms and shoulders. This is performed by holding the arms in the arm massage while reclining the chair back.

Panasonic has a solid line of chairs with the Real Pro Ultra series. The chairs do vary somewhat and there features but tend to look very similar. The only strange thing about the series is that the models made in Japan have a shorter warranty than those made in China.

There are many different manufacturers of massage chairs, but you can count on Panasonic to deliver a solid recliner. We are not entirely thrilled with the design of the chairs, but the features included are very good and reliable.
